God Loves You

L.H. C. February 28, 2013

God loves you. His love is eternal; He has always loved you and He always will.

The Holy Scriptures clearly states:

“I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with loving kindness have I drawn thee.” Jeremiah 31:3

We experience and see a lot of terrible things in this world therefore we might doubt God’s love.

But the Holy Scriptures tell us that we cannot experience God’s love because we are separated from God.

Isaiah 59:2 “But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid His face from you, that He will not hear.”

No one can keep the Torah (Law) 100%. When I was in college my landlord believed men were born good. Right after he told me that, his 6 year old son hit my 4 year old daughter and she began to cry. I asked him how long it took him to teach his son to do that. He said, “I did not teach him to do that. He did it by himself.” Because parents love their children they spend a lot of time teaching them to do what is right and the difference between right and wrong.

Because God loves us He tell us what is right and wrong. He gave us His perfect truth in the Laws of the Bible. But, like a parent, He knew that the imperfect man cannot keep his Law. In the Torah, God’s love makes a way of forgiveness. An innocent animal was to die in the place of the guilty man. The corban (sacrifice) was to be offered in the Tabernacle or the Temple in Jerusalem.

A blood sacrifice was necessary in order to make atonement as in...

Leviticus 17:11 “…I have given it (the blood) to you upon the alter to make an atonement for your souls: For it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul”.

The sacrifices of the Tabernacle and the Temple in Jerusalem are illustrations or pictures of the perfect sacrifice of Messiah. He has the right to sit on the throne of His father David and He is also a high priest after the order of Melki Sedec. The Scriptures state that there is a heavenly Temple that was the pattern for the earthly Tabernacle. (Exodus 25:40) Yeshua entered into the Kodash Kodashim (Holy of Holies) in heaven. Not with the blood of bulls and goats but with his own blood as a corban. (Hebrews 9:12)
Here is the depth of God’s love for us.

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

When you believe in Yeshua, you not only have forgiveness but a whole new life. You no longer strive to live by the law because God loves you and puts His law in your inward part and writes it on your heart. (Jeremiah 31:31-33) As believers we live by a love for God and for our fellow man. We love God because He first loved us. “Love worketh no ill to his neighbor: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.” (Romans13:10) It is the new and basic commandment of Yeshua. “A new commandment I give to you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” (John 13:34-35) Believing is receiving God’s love.

Don’t miss this wonderful love relationship with God.
