How Our Baptists Have Supported Israel

There are many ways Baptists have supported Israel in the past and how we can continue to support Israel in the future.

1. Baptists have sold and purchased Israel Bonds. One year a Baptist sold more than any other in NE.
2. Baptists helped some of the Jewish people leave Russia.
3. Baptists have passed resolutions supporting Israel.
4. Baptists vote for U.S. Government officials because those officials support Israel.
5. Baptists have written letters to several USA Presidents warning them not to pressure Israel.
6. Baptists have planted trees in Israel to help reforest the land.
7. Baptists conduct Israel Independence Day celebrations each year in various US cities.
8. We preach and teach that Jewish people will return to Israel and develop the land. Ezk.36-37
9. We have sent volunteers to work on kibbutzim each year since 1974.
10. We bring students to Israel to study the Bible on location for a year.
11. We bring Baptist people to Israel for 2 weeks to study and see the land.
12. We have our students work on archaeology digs in Israel.
13. We study Hebrew to learn the language of the Bible and the people of modern Israel.
14. We pray daily for peace in Israel and Jerusalem.

We Baptists support Israel’s:

• Right to exist in her ancient homeland.
• Survival during the War of Independence, Six-Day War, Yom Kippur War
• Right to keep the Sinai in the 80s
• Right to keep Judea and Samaria
• Right to keep the Golan Heights 
• Right to all of Jerusalem
